Aah! My favorite album of all time mayhaps? This one is very special to me.
While I had listened to The Maine before, this is the album that really got me into them. I didn't listen to it right when it came out, but it was sometime around then. So I was 16 or 17.
Little and The Sound of Reverie really changed my life. I have all the lyrics to Little memorized and repeat them to myself often whenever I'm going through it. I've thought about getting them tattooed, but it's a little too long. The Sound of Reverie is another one of my favorite songs of all time. The day or two after I first heard this album, I went skiing, and I remember listening to this song on the slopes. The beginning of the last chorus feels like taking a deep inhale in the sparkling snow.
Lots of other great songs too, of course. In a month it's my birthday and I'll no longer be in the other half of 23. Little sad about that. But I'll always have this album to listen to at any age. ♡ Thank you The Maine for creating a piece of art that resonates with me so deeply!
