Mylo Xyloto

Coldplay, 2011

"I'd rather be a comma than a full stop."

I love this album so much! Raah! I know every album on this list is here cause I love it. But I had a dream I got to see this album live last night. What I would give!!

There are a lot of Coldplay albums I love, cause I grew up listening to them with my dad. But in high school, I rediscovered Mylo Xyloto and it really stuck with me. It's so inspiring. So hopeful. Purely magical. It makes my eyes sparkle listening to it. I can feel them shine now!

The narritive, art direction, and concept behind this album really resonate with me. It has a message of being yourself, being a creator, being colorful, even if it means sticking out. Very comforting. And the transisitons between songs! Beautiful. I love listening to this one in order. Truly brought back the art of the album in 2011.

I actually haven't listened to much Coldplay past this album though. My dad didn't love this one or "A Sky Full of Stars" so he didn't really buy their cds afterwards. But I love this one so much! So maybe I should explore their later stuff as well.
